About Mr. Kenney

I am honored to be the Assistant Principal at Grove Elementary School. I have been in education over twenty years. Before becoming an administrator, I taught in Greenville County Schools as a physical educator for eighteen years. It is my intention to bring my experience, knowledge and my ability to have fun while working hard to Grove in order to positively effect children and their families.

In my spare time, I enjoy fishing, building things, and spending time with my family. I also have a big spot in my heart for dogs and enjoy walking mine. I hope to see your dogs in the morning car line!

I received my Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from West Chester University. I earned a Master's degree in School Leadership from Southern Wesleyan University.

I have a passion for public education. I believe this is one of our nations greatest rights and needs to be protected. As I reflect upon my day-to-day experiences in education, I recognize that elementary students do not understand the ramifications of academic failure. This is why it is important to make learning interactive, relate it to real life experiences and not let them give up when it becomes difficult!
