About Me

My name is Shelly Jeffers Hagood, but I go by Ms. Jeffers in the classroom. I was recently married to my husband, Kendrick, and have 3 children Destiny (18), Kendrick (Man, 16), and Kamden (13). I also have 3 cats, Bruce Wayne, Harley Quinn, and Dick Grayson. I enjoy spending time with my family, singing, going to Broadway shows, and traveling.  I am starting my 18th year as a special education teacher. I have taught in Greenville, Spartanburg, and also Columbus, Ohio. I have both an undergraduate degree (Bob Jones University) and a master's degree (Clemson University) in mulit-categorical special education. I have taught in a variety of classrooms with a variety of students. I am thrilled to be starting my 3rd year at Washington Center.
