Late Work Procedures:
Sevier’s Late assignment policy:
All teachers must accept late work up to 5 school days of the original due date or the end of the grading period, whichever comes first.
A teacher may extend the late work acceptance deadline but may not reduce the time.
The work, although submitted late, will not receive a point reduction.
If a teacher accepts late work beyond the 5 school days of original due date, the highest grade a student may receive is 93.
Assessments must be about mastery of content and if graded, the goal is to access mastery, not behaviors.
Retake policy:
Students scoring between 75-93 can choose to retake a Major Grade (tests). Students scoring less than 75 must do a retake. Students will be given time to prepare for the retake using a qualifying measure. A retake can only be performed once and the new score is capped at 93%.
