PHYSICAL EDUCATION MISSION STATEMENT

Our Mission

The Wade Hampton High School Physical Education Department aims to EDUCATE.INSPIRE.EMPOWER students through a philosophy of service to our diverse and dynamic population. We want to educate our students "through" and of the "physical" so that they may develop personal wellness habits that are carried throughout their lifetimes.

We believe that there is no substitute for good health (physically, mentally/emotionally, and socially), and our goal is for each student to learn and develop their personal "physical" knowledge and skills in order to live a long and healthy life.

We want and anticipate each student in our classrooms to succeed. We expect that our students will come to class each day excited about the possibilities and challenges they will face in Physical Education.

Our Purpose

The Wade Hampton High School Physical Education Department functions with the same purpose as each and every educator at the school. To EDUCATE and INSPIRE students to become RESPONSIBLE, DISCERNING, PRODUCTIVE citizens EMPOWERED to CHANGE the world.

WHHS VISION

Our vision centers on a shared philosophy that we must serve our diverse student body with a personalized plan for all students beginning at their current academic level and guiding them to graduation and beyond, fully prepared and confident to contribute to society.
