About Me

I have been with GCS for 26 years. This is my 22nd in the classroom. I’ve taught Seventh grade Pre-Algebra II, Ancient Civilizations, Literature, SC History, and World Geography. This year I will teach World Geography and Math 7. There is a lot to cover in both subjects. That is why it is extremely important that each child attend daily. Attendance is recorded daily and an assignment is given daily.

I have been a mother for 23 years. Kelley is my oldest, and Grace is my baby. Both girls are the "air that I breathe." Being a mother is my greatest accomplishment in life, and I am thankful each day to be called Mom and Mama. I am a fur baby Mama, too. I have two dogs: Brodie and Squirrel. I am also a fur baby Nana: Jennings (cat) and Woody. In my free time, I love spending time with family and friends, reading, gardening, hiking, and fishing.

I love walking into the classroom each day and seeing students learning. I am excited to get to know a new group this year and helping them be successful learners.
