Withdrawal Information

withdrawal Procedures

If you need to withdraw your student from Riverside High School please come to RHS to complete a withdrawal form.  Be prepared to pay any fines and return any school property such as Chromebooks, chargers, and textbooks that were not returned at the end of the school year.

Notice before withdrawing to attend a non-public school:

Before withdrawing a student to attend a private school or homeschool co-op, it is HIGHLY recommended that parents check the accreditation on the possible enrolling institute. If your student returns to Greenville County schools from a non-accredited (e.g., non-AdvancED) institution (home-school, private school, international school, out-of-state school, etc.), he/she must demonstrate proficiency in the credit bearing courses they are transferring in for high school credit. If a school is unsure whether the institution is accredited, they can use the accreditation agency list and lookup the school to determine whether it is accredited.

Parents are encouraged to research home school FAQ's before they decide to withdraw from a public school to attend a home school setting. This is a link from the state department that will list important questions and answers about home school.
