Ms. Miller

Hello! My name is Bethany Miller. This year is my seventh year teaching preschool special education at Woodland Elementary School. Before I came to work at Woodland, I worked as a special education and RTI teacher for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade at a local charter school for several wonderful years. I believe that each age and stage that children grow through brings its own set of delights, and challenges for teachers to embrace. I love the enthusiasm and honesty of little children. I enjoy working with them and find it marvelous to observe as they each move through developmental milestones in their own time.

I live in Mauldin with my three energetic teenage sons. My oldest is a seventeen year old aspiring biologist/zoologist completing his junior year in high school. My middle son is sixteen and looks forward to a career in the culinary arts, so far. He is also a junior this year. My youngest just started ninth grade and is having a great time learning about career opportunities at the Golden Strip Career center. He loves to work with tools and complete home repairs for me. I can't wait to see what he chooses to study more indepth.

We all live with two small dogs, one elderly cat, a adorable water turtle, an and a very tame chinese water dragon (the budding zoologist is practicing at home, as you can see.) Life is so much fun with these boys, they are all kind young men and make me proud in unique ways every single day. I'm thankful to have each moment that we have together as a family. My adult daughter lives in Nashville, Tennessee with her husband. We love to go visit them every chance we get.
