On a professional note,

I am thrilled to begin my fifth year teaching first grade at Taylors Elementary. I previously taught for 11 years at Thomas E. Kerns Elementary. I have also taught in Hendersonville, NC, and Florida. While my 23 years of service have found me mainly in 2nd and 3rd grades, I have experience teaching 1st, 4th, and 5th grades.  

I earned my BA in Elementary Education at the University of South Florida in Tampa. In addition to my ESOL certification, I recently earned a Master of Literacy at Clemson University on August 7th, 2020. 

On a personal note,

I grew up in Florida and moved to the Carolinas in 1997. I have six sisters, and five are teachers. I love to work out and attend Burn Boot Camp often. I have two daughters, two grandsons, and three granddaughters. I love spending time with family.
