About Me
Greetings from Ms. Greene! My name is Phyllis Greene and I am the Math Interventionist at Lake Forest Elementary School. This is my third year being a Math Interventionist. I love this position, as I have seen so much growth in skills and confidence in my math students. Previously, I taught fourth grade here at Lake Forest for 18 years. In total, I have been teaching for over thirty years! I have taught all ages, from kindergarten through fifth grade. I enjoy them all! I graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina and also have earned a Master's Degree in Education with honors from Converse College. I am always taking classes to continue learning. I was honored to be Lake Forest's Teacher of the Year for 2005-06.
I have two adult children, four beautiful granddaughters, and two handsome grandsons. My favorite things to do are spend time with my family, travel. read, and visit with friends. I especially enjoy hiking in the mountains and walking on the beach. My favorite indulgences are coffee and chocolate! I am a Greenville native, and enjoyed my school years in The School District of Greenville as a student from first grade through twelfth grade!
