About Me

Hi, I am Mrs. Orcutt and I would like to tell you a little bit about myself! I grew up in a very small town in Pennsylvania. From the time that I was five years old, I wanted to work at SeaWorld with dolphins and whales. In 2011, I graduated from Delaware Valley University in Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology (Zoology emphasis) and a minor in Psychology. After completing my degree, I worked in the education department at SeaWorld, Orlando with middle and high school students. In the fall of 2011 I was hired as an animal trainer. I spent the next 8 years training and caring for Bottlenose Dolphins, Killer Whales, Pilot Whales, and Macaws.

My husband and I have a two year old daughter and we also have two dogs. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, running/exercising, and reading.

I moved to the Greenville area to begin my teaching career because my goals for the future have changed and evolved. I hope to inspire my students to believe in themselves and accomplish great things. My passion is teaching others about conservation, animals and our environment!
