About Your Teachers

My name is Bethany Olmstead and I will be your child's Kindergarten teacher this year! I received my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Clemson University in 2010. I went to the University of South Carolina to obtain my Master's Degree in Language and Literacy, and graduated in 2014. This will be my 8th year of teaching! I taught 1st grade in Columbia, SC for four years, and I have taught Kindergarten at Simpsonville Elementary for the last three years. I recently got married to Brennan in May of 2017! We have a dog named Finn, and a cat named Lily. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, running, cooking new dishes, painting, and walking our dog. I am excited to be your child's Kindergarten teacher this year!

I am so happy to be at Simpsonville Elementary School! I graduated from Clemson University in 2015 with a Bachelors degree in Communication Studies. Along with my Communications Degree, I also obtained a minor in Psychology. This is my third year with the district, and my second year at Simpsonville. I married my husband, Jiles in March of 2015. We had our first child, Jax in April of 2017, and we have a dog named Wrigley. In my free time I love being with my family, friends, cheering on my Clemson Tigers, and exercising. I am so excited to be assisting Mrs. Olmstead this year, and getting to know your child!
