Hi! My name is Nemfa Maluya. It's my 5th year in Berea Middle School. I have 16 years of teaching experience. Before coming to the US, I taught for 10 years in the Philippines and 2 years in Vietnam. 

I had the wonderful opportunity to teach at an international bilingual school in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; this has deepened my belief on celebrating diversity and understanding different cultures. 

Moreover, I'm dedicated to providing and ensuring that students are welcomed into a supportive learning environment. I believe that student success is created through meaningful relationships.

I was born and raised in Cebu, Philippines. It's a beautiful island famous for beaches, dive sites and waterfalls. Besides embracing responsibilities with a positive attitude, I love sports and outdoor adventures!
