About Me

Meet Mrs. Scott:

I'm Samantha Scott and this is my eighth year teaching Special Education. I choose a career in Special Education as I was inspired by the needs of my younger brother. I have taught at both the middle and elementary school level. However, I have spent most of my years right here at Mitchell Road Elementary! My education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Multi-categorical Special Education K-12 from Clemson University, a Masters degree in Literacy from Furman University, and I am currently working on a second Masters degree in English Language Learning from Western Governors University. In addition, I am certified to teach Elementary grades 2-6. One of the greatest accomplishments I have achieved during my career is receiving my National Board Certification.

In my free time I enjoy taking my dog Spiller to the park with my husband Hunter, running, reading, and watching the Clemson tigers play football. GO TIGERS!

I am looking forward to another great year school year.
