About Mrs. Thomas

Welcome to my google site! I'm glad you stopped by! I am the Music Specialist at Hollis Academy, and Lead Elementary Music Teacher for Greenville County Schools. This is my 6th year at Hollis, and my 25th Year teaching music. I attended Westminster Choir College where I received my Bachelors in Music Education (1992), and Clemson University where I received my Masters in Education (1995). Before Hollis, I taught at Lakewood Elementary in Belton, Texas for 4 years, and for 13 years at Armstrong Elementary in Greenville, SC. I received my National Board Certification in 2008, and was voted Teacher of the Year at Armstrong Elementary for the 2008-2009 School Year. I hold Orff Schulwerk Certification, and have received training in the Kodaly Method for teaching Music.
