Meet Mrs. Roberson

Hello! Welcome to 7th-grade science. My name is Sydney Roberson and I am so excited for the school year to start. I was born in New York City and grew up in Northport, NY (Long Island). I received my bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Wells College in upstate NY. At Wells, I played field hockey and lacrosse for 4 years. I then attended the Warner School of Education at the University of Rochester where I received my master's degree and teaching certification in Chemistry and Biology 7-12. I have recently graduated from Furman University with my second masters in TESOL!

I moved to the Upstate in August of 2019 with my now husband, Cody! We got married on November 12th, 2021 in Isle of Palms, SC. As for teaching, I started my journey in Rochester NY where I taught 1 year of high school chemistry. When I moved to Greenville, I started at MMS in 2019 and then taught virtually for the 2020-2021 school year. This will be my 4th year at MMS and my 5th year teaching overall.

I am obsessed with my golden retriever, River :)

During the pandemic, we got River! He absolutely loves tennis balls, playing fetch, and swimming in the ocean!

Unfortunately, I cannot bring him to school, but that will not stop me from including him in slideshows!!
