All About Me

Hello students and parents! My name is Laura Kuzminsky. I was born and raised in California, however I have lived all over the country. I have lived in Greenville for 10 years. I live with my lovely 12 year old daughter, Lily, my 7 year old son, Lucas, and their father, James.

I attended the University of San Francisco where I studied English literature. My teaching career began in Los Angeles teaching sixth grade at Carver Middle School. I received my teaching certification from California State University, Dominguez Hills. After six years teaching in Los Angeles, my family and I moved to Ipswich, England. While in England, I taught kindergarten and Year 6 (fifth grade). My various teaching experiences have solidified my passion for teaching and learning. This is my sixteenth year teaching and ninth year at Plain Elementary School.

My free time is spent outdoors (while keeping up with my children) either running or playing soccer. Some of my other hobbies include biking, reading, painting and drawing. I love cooking shows and trying new recipes. Along with my love for travel comes my love of exotic food.

It is an honor to be part of the Plain Elementary family and I look forward to a wonderful year!
