Parents

Dear Parents,

Welcome to our classroom! At the bottom you will find the HMS Learning Expectations for Quarantine/Isolation.

I am a huge proponent of the idea that students have the best success when parents and teachers work together as a team. In order to develop and maintain that team, I believe that two-way communication is necessary. I am very interested to hear about your child from the perspective of those who know them best, so please provide any information that you think would be the most helpful. In return, I promise that I will keep you as involved in your child's learning as you would like to be. I will be open and honest with you about your child's performance, both positive and needing improvement, and I will be proactive in that communication.

If you look at the top right of the page, you will see a tab labeled, "Calendar." Here you will find information on assignment due dates. If you are ever curious about what your student will be learning for the week, I post a weekly agenda in your child's science Google Classroom.

Because we have a late lunch, students will are provided a time for a snack in their classroom at the beginning of 4th. Please note that student snacks must be easily eaten in a timely manner, and not require clean up (washing of hands). Snacks must be in a snack container (no full sized bags). Examples include: granola/ cereal bars, snack sized baggies of goldfish, Cheez-its, cereal, etc. All students will be responsible for cleaning up their own learning area.  Please note that individual snacks are allowed but due to Covid concerns, sharing is not permitted within the classroom. Thanks for understanding.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. You can reach me by email at: msjoseph@greenvilleschools.us , although please note that email/phone calls sent after 3:45 p.m. will not be returned until the following school day.

I look forward to meeting each of you, and working with you to make this the best possible year it can be for your child.
