I am Mary Sims Costigan...one of those Southern double names, so I go by Mary Sims and my last name is Costigan!

I grew up in Columbia, SC and went to Erskine College. After college I taught 1st grade for 6 years in Columbia and got my Masters of Education at Southern Wesleyan University. After getting married, I moved to Greenville to be with my husband. I had the opportunity to travel around South Carolina and train teachers how to use SMARTboards and then spent a few years owning my own wedding business.

But after my son was born, I missed teaching and decided to go back to the classroom. I taught First Grade at Sara Collins for one year and am now a Reading Interventionist. And love it!
