English III 

The rigorous curriculum for this course is designed to help students develop their analytical and rhetorical skills through the explication of literature and the exploration of varied issues facing our students today.  

Reading 

The reading material for this class will include novels, plays, short stories, and non-fiction pieces. We will read and analyze the works together and independently.  

Writing

Our writing assignments will vary. While most will be analytical in nature, we will certainly make time for creative and personal responses.  

Speaking/Listening

Solid communication is key to academic success.  It is also important for social and work related success.  We will develop these skills throughout the year.
