Learn About Ms. Bell

I am proud to say this is me 41st year teaching. Most of my career was spent in Anderson School District One. I taught K4, K5, 1st, and 2nd grades. I also served as Preschool Coordinator for several years, helping families transition from BabyNet services to school services.

I joined Cherrydale Elementary last year and taught Kindergarten. I am excited about moving up to first grade this year and having some on my kindergarten students in my class.

I grew up in Greenville and attended Greenville County Schools After graduation from JL Mann High, I attended North Greenville College for two years and completed my education degree at Winthrop University. I also earned a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Special Education from Furman University.

My home is in Powdersville, SC. I have two grown children that are the delight of my heart. My son lives in Los Angeles, California and works for SpaceX. My daughter lives in Nashville, Tennessee with her husband. Both of them are on staff at Longhollow Church.

I currently have three furry friends living with me. They are all dachshunds and named after Star Wars characters, Chewbacca, Vader and Lando are great company and troublemakers, too. When not teaching or taking care of these guys, I enjoy reading, camping (especially in the mountains), finding treasures at thrift stores and antique shopping.

Even as a little girl, I knew I wanted to be a teacher or a missionary. Teaching is a calling to me and I love helping young children grow and learn. It is also my goal to be sure students feel safe and loved in my class as well as gain confidence and believe in themselves. I look forward to getting to know my student's and families during the school year. We will enjoy the journey!
