A little about me......

I was born and raised in Rochester, NY, and lived there until I moved to SC in 2013. I still have family and friends in NY, and I go home a few times every year! I am definitely a cat person, and have 1 furry fluffball of my own! I love to travel, and see all of the different places and sites that the South has to offer. Some of my favorite places have been Charleston, Gatlinburg, and Boone.

Education:

I graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York at Oswego with a teaching certificate in the area of social studies grades 7-12. In 2012, I graduated from Nazareth College with a Master of Science in Education in inclusive education, grades 7-12.

Northwest:

I am thrilled to be a part of the Northwest team/family, and am so glad I made the move to South Carolina years ago. I started my journey at Northwest Middle in November of 2013 and have loved every minute of it! This is my 9th year here at Northwest Middle and I'm so excited about this school year! I teach 7th grade inclusion ELA and math on teams 7-1 and 7-2, which means I go into the classrooms to support ALL students, co-teach, and provide support.

7th grade field trip:

I have also gone on/coordinated the 7th grade Washington D.C. field trip 6 times! This year we are changing it up and going to Savannah, GA! orangeskytravel.com/10624

Panther Success:

I coordinate the panther success after school program which is a free tutoring/extra help program where students can get extra help from teachers, snack and drink provided, and goes from after school until 5 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
