Success Story - Former Student Comes Full Circle

Early in my teaching career, I worked for Easter Seals in Tampa, FL. While there I worked with infants and toddlers with special needs. Their needs included chromosomal abnormalities, heart transplant, variety of diagnoses, and children that had been exposed to drugs prior to birth.

One of my special little girls grabbed my heart. Even when I moved away, I kept up with her and her family and visited as often as I could. She continued on through elementary, middle. and high school. I had the honor to be there the day she graduated from high school. She was the first to ever graduate in her family! She is now working full time in a nursing home as the activity director. We even had the opportunity together to go help Ecuadorian students with special needs. I'm so proud of all she has accomplished over the years!
