Meet Ms. Richey

I am a First Grade teacher at Welcome Elementary School, the same school I attended as a student. I'm highly qualified to teach Early Childhood Education. I graduated from USC-Upstate with a BS in Early Childhood Education In 2017. I am currently working on earning a Master's Degree in Literacy from Clemson University. During my first two years of teaching, I taught third grade in Gray Court. I am really excited to be at Welcome Elementary where my love for learning originated. This year will be my third year teaching first grade. I really enjoy working with the students and watching them grow as readers and writers.

At home, I am a mom and an aunt. I have two kiddos Jordyn, 13 and Jaylen,14. We have 3 dogs and 1 cat. We live in Simpsonville and enjoy spending time together. We love taking spontaneous weekend trips, going to movies, and spending time downtown.
