Ms. Long

As I enter my 10th year as a special educator, I am happy to return for my third year at League Academy! Before coming League, I taught in Anderson School District Five for four years in a classroom for students with mild intellectual disabilities. Before coming to League, I taught for three years in a classroom for students with moderate intellectual disabilities here in GCSD.

I graduated from Winthrop University in 2010 with a B.A. in Psychology and Social Welfare. In 2014, I received my MAT in Special Education (Mild & Moderate Intellectual Disabilities) from the University of South Carolina. (Go Gamecocks!) I have been working with the special needs population since I was 15 years old, beginning as a counselor at Camp Joy, located in Flat Rock, NC. Since then, I've had a passion for working with those with special needs in and outside of the classroom. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, flat water kayaking, hiking at Paris Mountain and attending concerts.
