Grading

District Grading Policies- A 90-100 B 80-89 C 70-79 D 60-69 U 59 or lower

Points may be deducted from individual grades for unexcused late classwork or projects. Points may be deducted for not following directions. Major projects count as test grades. When projects are assigned, the project guidelines will have a grading rubric.

District Guidelines for Grading-

Reading: Major grades 40% (theme tests)/Minor grades 60% (daily work, quizzes)

Language Arts: Major grades 30% (theme tests)/Minor grades 60% (daily work, quizzes)/Spelling 10%

Math: Major grades 40% (tests)/Minor grades 60% (daily work, quizzes)

Social Studies: Major grades 40% (tests, projects)/Minor grades 60% (daily work, quizzes)

Science/Health: Major grades 40% (tests, projects)/Minor grades 60% (daily work, quizzes)

Makeup work- When absent please try to makeup work as soon as possible. The district states that all missed work must be completed within 5 days of the return of an absence.


Behavior

We will be using PBIS as a school wide behavior plan. Children will be rewarded for demonstrating positive behavior in the classroom and school.Â
