My name is Lindsey Phillips and this is my 13th year of teaching at Welcome Elementary. I taught second grade for seven years here before becoming an interventionist. I graduated in 2007 from Clemson University with a BA in Early Childhood Education. Hence my love and devotion to the Clemson Tigers ! I then proceeded to get my MEd from Southern Wesleyan University. I am originally from Tennessee, but now happily live in Greenville. We have a 2 year old son Greyson, who is our pride and joy, and a bulldog named Chloe.

As my students grow in their abilities, my goal is to provide a positive well managed classroom that will encourage self-expression, foster a community of learners, and teach them strategies to become better readers and mathematicians ! Let’s work together! Communication is very important and is needed in order to ensure proper development of your child. I work closely with his or her classroom teacher to make sure your child accomplishes his/her reading goals, and I believe that we should openly inform each other of your child’s progress, concerns, or needs. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me before or after school by phone and anytime through email. Throughout my website you will find more details about both the reading and math intervention programs. I hope it will be a resource to you and your student!

I realize that teaching your child is a privilege, as well as a tremendous responsibility. I will do my best this year to ensure that each student has a motivating learning experience in the classroom. I look forward to making new memories with your child at Welcome Elementary!

With Love,

Mrs. Phillips
