About Me

Dear Students and Families, 

My name is Jennifer Murphy. I am excited to be your RTI teacher this year! This is my 17th year teaching elementary school and my 10th year teaching at Robert E. Cashion Elementary. Before becoming a reading interventionist, I taught 3rd and 4th grade at Robert E. Cashion Elementary and Bethel Elementary.  

My husband, Jeremy, is the assistant principal at Sterling School/CTC. I enjoy reading, cooking, making crafts, watching movies, and hiking with my family and our little 16 pound Labradoodle. 

I graduated from Furman University in 2006 with a BA in Elementary Education. I then went on to complete a MA in Education with a focus on Special Education at Furman in 2008. I achieved National Board Certification in 2011 and renewed in 2021. I hold certification in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.
