Hello! My name is Kelli Mesardjian. I am so excited to be your child's 4th grade teacher this year!!  

I began my teaching career by gaining a lot of experience substituting in various schools and at various grade levels.  I've taught 30 years as a South Carolina and Greenville County teacher in 1st, 3rd, and 4th grades. I'm looking forward to a fun and exciting year!

I received my Bachelor's of Arts degree in 1991 from the University of South Carolina and my Master's of Education degree in 1995 from Converse College. I then completed my Master's of Education plus 30 hours degree during the summer of 2004. I was certified as a National Board Certified Teacher in 2003 and 2013. I am also a highly qualified teacher under the "No Child Left Behind Act."   I have been involved in a Summer Program for many summers as both a summer teacher and the Summer Program Director. I have taught first through fifth grades in afterschool and before-school programs. 

I absolutely love teaching. I love my students, and I enjoy watching them grasp a concept, read a book with excitement, and complete math problems with confidence. Their excitement brings a smile to my face!  I feel that forming a relationship with my students and families is so important and look forward to that each year!!

I grew up in the Mauldin area, and I presently live in the Piedmont area with my husband, Chris.  We have one son who will be 10 years old soon!!  He is the light of our life!!   We also have 2 German Shepherds, 2 cats, a gecko, a lizard my son captured right here at EWE on the playground, and recently a frog....it's a zoo at our house!!  When I am not at school, I love to watch movies, garden, and mostly spend time with my FAMILY.  My son earned his Jr. Black Belt last year and now is excited to be playing baseball.  I love watching college football and like to watch and attend all kinds of sporting events. While my husband hunts on fall Saturdays, you'll find me either in Columbia or in front of the tv watching my favorite team ~~ the SOUTH CAROLINA GAMECOCKS -- every Saturday!!  

I am so excited about this year. I feel very privileged to be a part of your child's life and I can't say that there is a more warm, exciting, learning environment than here at ELLEN WOODSIDE ELEMENTARY where we are "EDUCATING WINNERS EVERYDAY!"  I look forward to getting to know each of the students and families this year!
