¡Bienvenidos!

The two images above represent a topic that is very dear to my heart. The left shows a glacier and ice that has broken off and is melting due to climate change and global warming. While melting ice caps and rising sea levels are not the sole issue that we face, it is one that is commonly seen in association with climate change. The image on the right is a representation of a world that is barren where life is nearly absent. However, It has another meaning for me. The lightbulb represents an idea or a solution. Climate change is the biggest challenge that we as a species have ever faced and with that, we need every idea and solution that we can get. No matter where they come from.

It is with that being said that I stress how important scientists and good people will be moving forward. As your science teacher at Tanglewood Middle School, my goal is to help you become the best version of yourself in and out of the classroom and to spark a lifelong curiosity and passion for science.

Las dos imágenes de arriba representan un tema que es muy querido para mi corazón. La izquierda muestra un glaciar y hielo que se ha desprendido y se está derritiendo debido al cambio climático y al calentamiento global. Si bien el derretimiento de los casquetes polares y el aumento del nivel del mar no son el único problema al que nos enfrentamos, es uno que se ve comúnmente asociado con el cambio climático. La imagen de la derecha es una representación de un mundo estéril donde la vida está casi ausente. Sin embargo, tiene otro significado para mí. La bombilla representa una idea o una solución. El cambio climático es el mayor desafío al que nos hemos enfrentado como especie y, con eso, necesitamos todas las ideas y soluciones que podamos obtener. No importa de donde vengan.

Dicho esto, recalco la importancia que tendrán los científicos y las buenas personas para avanzar. Como su maestro de ciencias en Tanglewood Middle School, mi objetivo es ayudarlo a convertirse en la mejor versión de sí mismo dentro y fuera del aula y despertar una curiosidad y pasión por la ciencia para toda la vida.
