7:45- 8:30 Arrival, Unpack, Sign-in/Journal Writing, Select Centers, Breakfast- Bus riders will complete these activities as they arrive
8:3o-:9:00 Small Group Math & Math Calendar- math instruction rotating in small and independent groups
9:00-9:35 Community Meeting/ Work Time Begins: Social Skills, Discuss the day ahead, begin work time
9:35-9:55 Related Arts: Mon.-Guidance Counseling Tues: Extra Recess Wed.- Art, Thurs. PE Fri.-Music
9:55-10:30 Work Time con’t: plan, do, review, and inquiry based learning
10:30-10:45 Interactive Read Aloud- teacher reads high quality, engaging picture books, stopping to invite children to have meaningful conversations that facilitate oral language development *Shared reading may take place at this time depending on learning activities for the day.
10:45-10:55 Prepare for Lunch- Wash hands, restroom
11:55-11:20 Lunch- Students will eat lunch in cafeteria
11:20-12:00 Literacy Small Group - Literacy instruction rotating in small and independent groups
12:00-12:20 Recess (Large Playground)
12:20-12:30 Water Break Movement and Music
12:30-1:00 Quiet Time - students will rest quietly on rest towel provided by home
1:00-1:10 Shared Reading: Using enlarged print, teacher and students read together
1:10-1:20 Writing: Students and teacher work together to compose messages and stories
1:20-1:40 Recess- Courtyard
1:45 Bus Dismissal, Closing Circle
