Behavior Management Plan

At the beginning of the year, I go over the expectations in the classroom. The class had a discussion and gave examples of what this might look like in the classroom. The students also sign it as a promise to say they will follow the classroom expectations.

Individual Plan

I use a point reward system through ClassDojo in my classroom. This is a management strategy that involves granting points to students participating in positive and appropriate actions throughout the day. Students might also lose points when being  disruptive or not following expectations. When a student receives 10 points they are allowed to get a prize out of the treasure box.

Whole Class Plan

I use Mr. Potato Head as a classroom management tool. When the whole class is participating in positive and appropriate actions (receiving compliments from other teachers, working nicely in the room, following directions, etc.) then a piece of Mr. Potato Head will get put on.  When Mr. Potato Head earns every piece and is all filled up, we decide on a treat as a class.
