Hi there! My name is Hannah Flowers and I am excited to be your child's first grade teacher at Summit Drive this year! I grew up in Knoxville, TN and graduated from Furman University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature. After graduating Furman, I moved to Raleigh, NC and began working as an interventionist for third graders at Wake County Public School System. I went on to receive a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from North Carolina State University, and soon after moved down to teach first grade. I am passionate about integrating the engineering design process, critical thinking, and project based learning in my classroom. When I'm not teaching, I love to travel, complete home improvement projects, listen to podcasts, and spend time outdoors with my husband, George, and our two Golden Retrievers, Willow and Ivy. I look forward to working with you and your child this year!
