2nd Grade MLP
This year I will be co-teaching in three 2nd grade classrooms in order to provide an extra level of support and instruction during reading, writing and language arts lessons. Throughout our lessons we will practice speaking, writing, interacting, reading and listening (SWIRL).
About me
I was born in the Netherlands and Dutch is my first language. I learned English at the age of 10, before moving to Atlanta, Georgia. My husband and I have two children, ages 15 and 18. After living in five different states together, we are here to stay in his home town of Greenville. This is my 5th year teaching ESOL, and 15th year as an educator. I love being here at Monaview!
I graduated from the University of Georgia with a BS in Early Childhood Education, and a minor in French. I hold Global TESOL certification earned from the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education and am currently furthering my ESOL studies with graduate classes from USC Aiken. I am highly qualified to teach PK-6th grade, as designated by the state of SC.
