Did you know?

· Reading doesn’t mean just books! Remember to make children’s magazines & comics available too.

· Encourage your child to read road signs, posters and shopping lists.

· Praise your child when he/she is reading!

· Make it relevant! If your child loves planes, visit your local airport. This will only inspire your child to want to learn more!

· Visit your local library to check out books and attend a children’s author event.

· Don’t just listen to your child read, discuss the book with him/her as well.

· Practice what you preach! Read for enjoyment yourself. Children notice!
