About Me

I am Zoe Hudson. I have been teaching for 36 years. I began teaching in Atlanta Ga. in 1984. I moved to Greenville in 1987 and taught for 3 years at Greenbrier Elementary in Mauldin. In 1990 I began teaching at Simpsonville and aside for a little time off to be "just Mom", I've been here since!

I have taught kindergarten, second grade, substituted in all grades up to 8th and now teach special education in the resource and inclusion settings. I have loved all my experiences but I think I like my resource job best of all!!

I went to Clemson - GO TIGERS!!!! - and to Georgia State University. I got my bachelor’s degree at Clemson and my master's degree at Ga. State. I have also taken classes Furman, Converse, Limestone and Lander. I have highly qualified status in elementary, early childhood and special education.

I am married to Bill Hudson. He is a math and technology teacher at Fountain Inn High School. He coaches softball and is a Deacon in the Catholic Church serving St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. He went to Ga. Tech - Go Yellow Jackets!!!! (unless they are playing the Tigers!) He is an engineer, worked for CRS Sirrine (now Jacobs) and had his own business in Simpsonville for 14 years before he began teaching. He taught at St. Joseph's Catholic School, Fountain Inn Elementary, and Woodmont Middle before moving to FIHS.

I have two children, Jordan and Carly. Jordan is 33. He graduated from Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio in 2013. He works at Hillcrest High School. He is an Eagle Scout and I am very proud of him for that achievement. Only 2% of all boys who begin Boy Scouts earn the Eagle rank. Carly is 31. She graduated from Anderson University where she also played softball. She teaches 4th grade at Rudolph Gordon School.

I am here to teach children but also feel that it is my job to be a liaison between the classroom and the home. Please allow me to serve you. Do not hesitate to call, email, or come see me at any time.
