Meet the Teachers
Hi!! My name is Mary Lant Watson, and I am so excited to be your child's teacher! I graduated from Ole Miss with a degree in Elementary Education. After that, I taught in Alabama for 3 years. In 2018, I moved to Greenville with my husband, Ben. This is my third year teaching kindergarten at Simpsonville Elementary School. When I'm not in the classroom, I love to cook, run with my dog Maggie, and explore the beautiful outdoors! My theme this year is "Winning Team" because I know that, with your help, every student will win by learning to be a team player, as well as a leader, as we focus on reading, math and making new friends (and being a good friend). I am looking forward to a year filled with learning!

My name is Paula Maurer. This is my second year at SES, and I am thrilled to be your child's assistant teacher! I graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in Elementary Education. I taught in Georgia and Ohio before becoming a stay-at-home mom. Most recently I was a teacher's assistant at Mauldin Elementary for 14 years. My family consists of my husband Rich and our three daughters Kaitlyn, Laura, and Ally. We also have a son-in-law Brandon. I love spending time with family and friends, walking, reading, and cheering on the Auburn and Clemson tigers! It will be a great year!
