Plan B

If Google Classroom is not working but you still have internet access, direct your student to these learning sites and activities:

  1. 📚 Choose a book(s) from our Virtual Classroom to listen to or read.
  2. 📓 Complete this Book Review form about the book. You can do more than one!
  3. ➕ XtraMath session (if you have an account) and/or play the Tug of War addition game. Keep track of how many times you win!
  4. 🤸‍♂️ Take a break and exercise! Follow this workout video or exercise on your own!
  5. 🧪 Choose a science video from BrainPop! and take the quiz after you watch it. Explore the other activities available at the end of the video. *You must AUTHENTICATE first for BrainPop to work! -OR- Design the perfect egg protector! Draw plans that would keep an egg safe it was dropped. Would you wrap it in cotton or use a box? Be creative with your design and label the items you would use. OR ask your adult for permission and BUILD an egg protector using items from around your space!
  6. 🌎 Choose a social studies video from BrainPop! and take the quiz after you watch it. Explore the other activities available at the end of the video. *You must AUTHENTICATE first for BrainPop to work!
  7. 🎨 Get your art supplies out and follow along with this Back to School how to draw video.

If you do not have internet access, have your student complete the following tasks:

  1. 📚 Read for 20 minutes.
  2. 📓 Write about a happy memory. Make sure you have at least 5 COMPLETE sentences and use correct punctuation.
  3. ➕ Big Math pages:
  4. ➕ Find shapes around you! Look for items that are shapes like a circle, triangle, square, and rectangle. Draw what you find and label what it is (magnet, block, etc.)
  5. 🤸‍♂️ Take a break and exercise!
  6. 🧪 Design the perfect egg protector! Draw plans that would keep an egg safe it was dropped. Would you wrap it in cotton or use a box? Be creative with your design and label the items you would use. OR ask your adult for permission and BUILD an egg protector using items from around your space!
  7. 🎨 Free draw! Take your time and work on the details of whatever you choose to draw.
