About Mrs. Jones

Visiting parks is one of our favorite family activities.

Welcome! I want to tell you first of all what a privilege I consider it to teach your children. It is a responsibility I do not take lightly. Thank you so much for entrusting them to me!

I grew up in a family of teachers. My dad taught seminary and Bible college classes, and my mom taught 3rd grade, elementary music, high school Spanish, and then found her niche with her own private piano studio for 40 years until she passed away in 2016. She passed her love of piano playing on to me, and I have enjoyed beginning to teach my oldest daughter piano.

I graduated with honors from Bob Jones University with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education in 2012. After graduating, I taught Preschool, Art, & P.E. at a private school for one year, and have been teaching in Greenville County School District since then. This will be my third year teaching at Paris. My favorite thing about teaching is creating fun and new experiences for children and seeing that little "light bulb" of learning come on in their minds and faces! I have found that little ones are often capable of much more than I think, and I love giving them opportunities to prove themselves and push them to the next level. I believe you will be amazed at all they will learn and accomplish this year! I certainly love comparing the "before and after" of what they can do at the end of the year versus the beginning.

I have 3 beautiful daughters: Raelyn, age 7, is in 2nd grade at Paris; Becca, age 4, is starting preschool at Earle Street Academy, and Charis was born November 2020.

I can't wait to meet you and start a brand new school year!
