This course is an introduction to the process of starting a small business, including forms of ownership and management.
Prerequisite: Placement into ENG 101
Course Outcomes:
Students who successfully complete this course will have demonstrated the skills required to accomplish the following objectives with a minimum competence level of 70 percent.
To identify the terminology used by the participants in business formations.
To determine the requirements necessary to be a successful entrepreneur.
To explore various approaches and theories about entrepreneurship.
To describe the environment faced by entrepreneurs.

Outcome #1: Students will be able to recommend and make data-based decisions upon the assessment and analysis of the changing internal and external business environments.
