Typing Practice
Hello Terrific Typers!
As we talk about in class, learning proper typing and keyboarding is a skill that will not only help you for the rest of your school days but for the rest of your life! How you ask?
Saves you time: You'll finish your school work and homework faster!
Gives you muscle memory: You won't even have to think about where the keys are, your fingers will just know.
Helps prevent injuries: When you don't have to keep looking up and down you are less likely to hurt your neck.
Remember Your Fantastic Fingers
Make sure your fingers are in the correct starting placement in the home row and then let them go up and down from there.
Take it slow and correct your mistakes.
Maintain Your Perfect Posture
Sit up straight and comfortably, with your back against your chair.
Your feet should rest firmly on the floor.
Be sure to take regular breaks and take your time. It'll be much harder to correct a bad habit later so do it the right way from the beginning!
Yeah I'm going to take my hands
to the old home row
I'm going to type
'til I can't no more
