About

Mrs. Brittingham

Hello! My name is Karen Brittingham and I am so excited to be your child's first grade teacher this year! I can't wait to meet you and get to know you better this year. We are going to have so much fun in Frist Grade!

I was born and raised in Greenville, SC. and attended Clemson University where I earned my Bachelors of Art degree in Early Childhood Elementary. After graduating from Clemson, I taught kindergarten in Anderson District One for 3 years. I stayed home for 10 years with my children before going back into teaching as a reading and math intervention teacher at Buena Vista Elementary. I then became a long term substitute here at Pelham Road. I fell in love with PRES and decided to make it official and call Pelham Road home.  This will be my third year teaching first grade a Pelham Road.

My husband and  I have been married for 23 years and we have two beautiful children. My daughter is starting her junior year at Clemson University. GO TIGERS! My son will be a junior at Riverside High School this year. We are HUGE Clemson fans!  You will find us cheering on our Tigers every Saturday in the fall. I also have three dogs whom we adore. I love spending time with my family and my dogs!
