About Mr. Parks

My name is Hamilton Parks and I am ecstatic to join the staff of Mauldin Elementary as Administrative Assistant! This is my 14th year in education. Here's a little about the journey that led me here...

After attending Greenville County Schools as a student, I attended Clemson University, where I received my B.A. in Elementary Education (2005). I then returned here to Greenville where I taught 4th grade at East North Street Academy for three years, and was named 2008-2009 Teacher of the Year. It was also during this time that I acquired my Masters Degree in Education from Southern Wesleyan University. I then ventured to Simpsonville, South Carolina, where I taught 5th grade for three years at Oakview Elementary. In the summer of 2011, I returned to East North Street Academy, where I was privileged to serve as the school's math coach for 2 years. I was honored again as Teacher of the Year for the 2013-2014 school year. I then served 4 years as Instructional Coach at A.J. Whittenberg Elementary School of Engineering. During that time, I earned my Masters of Education in Administration and Supervision degree from Southern Wesleyan University.

This 2018-19 school year will be my second year as an administrator here at Mauldin Elementary, and I so so pumped! I have truly enjoyed becoming a part of our Mighty Eagle family!

I am passionate about helping teachers and instructional leaders create engaging, active environments where students are successful and maintain high achievement. I seek to do this by maintaining collaborative, working communication with teachers and staff; providing and embracing effective, need-based professional development; and coaching and empowering teachers through data analysis and focused lesson planning. For the past two years, I have been on the EdCamp Greenville team, which has striven to empower teachers to be the best they can for their students. We believe in working hard and having a great time with our educator colleagues!

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling, cooking, and staying physically active.

If there is any way I can be of assistance, please do not hesitate to send me an email! hparks@greenville.k12.sc.us
