Welcome to U.S. History

Dear Parents,

I would like to welcome your son/daughter to Carolina High School for the 2018-2019 school year. I’m looking forward to learning, sharing and growing along with the students. I expect each student to put forth their very best effort in keeping up with their daily assignments and class participation. I will be available to help students from 8.00 am-8:35 am and after school on most weekdays. Classroom instruction will be based on Project Based Learning. Students will mainly work in groups on a project that will include the following: authenticity, academic rigor, applied learning, active exploration, adult relationships and assessment based on academic standards.

Please note that there is a school wide Personal Electronic Device policy in effect for the entire school year. This means that NO CELL PHONES and other personal electronic devices will be used in my class. Using cell phones, even checking parent text DURING CLASS, will result in a warning. The second time will result in a referral.
