About Mr. Elston

My name is Daniel Elston, and I am excited to begin my first year of teaching full-time! I graduated from Bob Jones University with my Bachelor's of Music Education in December, 2022. Since then, I have had the chance to work for Greenville County Schools as a Substitute Teacher. I am a traveling music teacher, so I teach 3 days here at Bell's Crossing and 2 days at Pelham Road Elementary.  In addition to my normal music class schedule, I also direct our Hand Chimes Ensembles here at BCES. You may find more information about that under the "Hand Chimes" page.

When I am not teaching, you can usually find me enjoying the Outdoors, whether it's hiking, camping, or kayaking. When I'm not exploring the great outdoors, I enjoy traveling, exploring new places, trying new foods, spending time with family and friends (especially my baby nephew), reading a good book, or watching Michigan Football.

Of course, I wouldn't be a music teacher if I didn't LOVE music! The trombone is my primary instrument, but I can play every single brass instrument (besides the French Horn). I enjoy playing my trombone in the community band and participating in my church's music ministry.
