I was raised in New Jersey but I've spent the majority of my life in the south. I’m a graduate of the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill where I majored in English and Political Science. I also have a master’s degree in Business from Emory University. I spent most of my previous life working in marketing for big companies including Michelin here in the Upstate.

I'm a divorced father of three boys, Kyle, a junior at Mauldin High, Mark, a junior at the University of South Carolina, and Luke, a first year law school student at Columbia University in New York City.
