WELCOME!
Welcome to Spanish Class at Eastside High School! In this class, students will build essential reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills through engaging activities designed to foster a love of language and learning all in Spanish.
I grew up in Boise, Idaho, where my parents raised me alongside my two brothers. Today, I’m a proud father of two amazing kids—a girl and a boy!
My academic journey began at Boise State University, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in World Languages and Literature - Spanish. I then continued my education at the University of Nevada, Reno, earning a master’s degree in World Languages and Literature - Spanish while teaching Spanish classes both in person and online. After that, I completed my teaching certificate through Great Basin College. I also hold a second master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.
Education is incredibly important to me, and I believe in the power it holds to shape the future. One of my favorite quotes by Nelson Mandela says, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” I also deeply resonate with the saying, “No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care.” And let me tell you—I care a lot!
I’m thrilled to begin this journey with you and can’t wait to learn, grow, and achieve great things together. It’s going to be an amazing year!
