Mrs. Kennedy

I am extremely excited to be at Southside for my seventh year serving students. I graduated from Southern Wesleyan University in 2011 with a Master's of Education degree and have also been honored to receive the highest recognition for aspiring teachers which is to have National Board Certification. I have 14 years of experience working with students who have disabilities and Individualized Education Plans. I plan to engage students in meaningful learning and do everything possible to give them the tools they will need to be successful.

I am originally from New Orleans where I taught in Orleans Parish Schools for 3 years before moving to South Carolina in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina. I spent 5 years working for Anderson School District 5. I currently live in Easley with my husband Christopher. I enjoy traveling, listening to music, bowling, eating out, and skating to name a few activities. Most importantly, I enjoy working with students and impacting lives which spills over into community work with my sorority Delta Sigma Theta.

My desire is to make connections with students throughout the year that will help them to become effective advocates of their own education as well as learner's who have an intrinsic motivation to take their education to the next level in their life's journey. Together we can succeed!

GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Kee

I am excited and ready for my second year at Southside High School. This will be my third year teaching. I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BA in English in 2015. I stayed for another year to earn my Master's in Teaching in Secondary English in 2016.

I am originally from Sumter, SC. After attending school in Columbia, SC, I taught for one year at Lugoff-Elgin High School before moving to Greenville. I love to read and write which drives my passion for English Instruction. I also enjoy watching movies, playing disc golf, and watching Atlanta Braves baseball.

My greatest hope for this school year is to create a community of learners who work and grow together. I wish to instill the same love for literature that I have in all of my students.
