About me

Brandon Johnson

I am originally from North Augusta, South Carolina where I graduated from North Augusta High School in 2009. I attended the University of South Carolina and majored in Athletic Training. During my time at the University of South Carolina I served as a page for the State House of Representatives and was a student athletic trainer for several sports teams. I was a 2014 Teach For America Corps Member where I spent three years teaching at Palmetto Middle School in Mullins, South Carolina. During my time in Mullins I taught Algebra 1 and 6th grade math, served as the math department chairperson, and was the head Athletic Trainer for Creek Bridge High School. From 2017 - 2020, I served as an Assistant Principal at McCracken Middle School in Spartanburg District 7, primarily in charge of my grade level, substitutes, buses, teacher evaluations, and logistics. I am a sports fanatic and enjoy spending time with my wife Ashley and our two dogs. On the weekends you can catch me at a USC sporting event, golfing, or working in my yard. I am currently in my second year as an assistant principal at Eastside High School.
