About Mme Nash

Welcome to my class, your gateway to the French-speaking world. My name is Michelle O'Shields Nash, and I look forward to sharing foreign languages with you. I am a native of Spartanburg, SC but moved to Greenville in 2007.

I completed Dorman High School, then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree at Wofford College, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1996. I studied abroad in Chicoutimi, Quebec in 1994 at the University of Quebec at Chicoutimi (UQAC). Having had such a rewarding experience in Quebec, I returned and participated in the work abroad program in Quebec City during the summer of 1995. I had a wonderful time working as a restaurant hostess at Restaurant le Vendôme. Just after graduating college in 1996, I spent three weeks traveling in France, England and Switzerland. Upon my return, I worked as a summer camp counselor and credit teacher with Concordia Language Villages in Bemidji, MN at Lac du Bois. In 2000, I earned a Master of Arts degree in French at Middlebury College in Vermont. I am a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. This is my 22nd year of teaching foreign languages in middle school.

I enjoy traveling, playing viola, sci-fi, and shopping.
