Cell Phone Policy 

I understand that students will have access to their devices in their personal and professional lives, so it is important to me that they learn to use them responsibly. Cell phone use may be permitted during some classroom activities, per teacher discretion. There will be a visual and verbal reminder for students when cell phones are allowed vs. when they are not. If students are asked to refrain from using cell phones, and they do not adhere to the rules, the above consequences will apply.

As this is an EOC class, cell phones and other electronic devices are not permitted during testing, whether that is the EOC or benchmarks, or any other type of quiz or test. However, students may access phones during some individual work time. Headphones are only allowed in one ear during those times, and must be put away once individual work time is over. Students are permitted to have their phones within reach and visible, but they must not be a distraction. If a phone becomes the focus of the student, I will ask them to put it out of sight OR at a designated spot in the classroom where it will be in student view, but out of reach. Once again, if rules are broken, the above consequences will be given.
